The number of participants of JICA training program is beyond 300,000 people from 194 countries as of 2012. The number of Indonesia ex-participants has reached 23,000 in 2012, which is the largest among the participating countries. There are some facts of Indonesian participants that their profession form government (70%), private (25%) and the rest are coming from academics and civil society. The ex-participants are coming from some sectors: human resource development, public administration, health-medical, public works, agriculture-fisheries, mining, tourism, social welfare and energy.
Based on the survey, to build the sound foundation of future Indonesia-Japan relation are: First, . Based on trustful partnership of mutual investment. Secondly, create win-win relations and people to people interactions. Third, the extended network of institution from Indonesia and Japan.
